Automotive AC Technician

Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Setting up and connecting AC systems, including refrigerant lines, wiring, and ducts.
Service and Maintenance:
Performing routine checks, cleaning components (like air filters), and replacing or cleaning filters to ensure system efficiency.
Repair:
Diagnosing and fixing issues like poor cooling, noise, or other malfunctions.
Part Handling:
Ordering, receiving, and managing parts for AC systems, including refrigerant and other supplies.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of automotive air conditioning systems, components, and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with refrigerant types, handling, and the legal regulations surrounding their use
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, including pressure gauges, refrigerant scales, and leak detectors
• Ability to work with hand tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, and specialized automotive AC tools

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, especially in explaining technical issues to customers
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills to manage workflow and customer service
