Required Instrument Technician - Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Commissioning:

• Install, configure, and commission instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
• Mount and wire instruments according to technical drawings, ensuring that all wiring and installation are compliant with safety and industry standards.
• Conduct system checks to ensure that instruments are functioning as expected and aligned with the overall process control system.

2. Calibration and Configuration:

• Calibrate instruments and control systems to ensure accurate performance. This includes ensuring sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators are accurately calibrated to factory or field specifications.
• Set up and configure control loops, data points, and system parameters to optimize the performance of control systems.
• Perform loop checks and calibrations to ensure that instrumentation systems are working within the required tolerances.

3. Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on instruments to prevent failures and reduce downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and control systems, such as malfunctioning sensors or faulty transmitters, and repair or replace them as necessary.
• Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components within instrumentation systems.

4. System Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

• Monitor real-time data from instruments and control systems to detect irregularities or potential issues.
• Implement corrective measures to optimize system performance, ensuring continuous operation without interruptions or safety concerns.
• Identify opportunities for improving instrument calibration, control systems, and performance efficiency.

5. Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, particularly when working with electrical and hazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC , ANSI , OSHA , and NFPA ).
• Participate in safety inspections and hazard analysis, ensuring that instrumentation does not pose a safety risk to employees or the environment.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of instrument installations, calibrations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Provide reports on instrument performance, including any identified issues and resolutions.
• Document any changes made to system configurations, calibration data, and maintenance activities for future reference.

7. Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with engineers, electricians, and other technicians to troubleshoot and solve complex instrumentation issues.
