Job Description
Role SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager - Business Development and Strategic Sourcing to drive business growth and optimize sourcing strategies. This dual- role position involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and sourcing critical raw materials to support our operations.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development and Market Intelligence- Identify potential customers and manage sales leads.- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients.- Research export databases and market sources to understand competitor landscapes, market size, and end-use applications.Strategic Sourcing- Source critical materials (primarily imported) and develop cost-effective sourcing solutions.- Stay updated on market trends and supply chain challenges to optimizeprocurement strategies.- Collaborate with internal teams to support new product launches and strategic initiatives.Market Research and Networking- Conduct market research using industry databases and participate in trade shows.- Interface with MNC clients and support export sales.Documentation and Reporting- Prepare reports on market trends, sourcing strategies, and business development activities.Qualifications and ExperienceEducational Qualification - Graduate, MBA preferred.Experience - 5-10 years in strategic sourcing or technical sales within thechemical industry.Essential Skills- Broad understanding of the Indian chemical industry (Traders/Manufacturers).- Sales experience in Flavors & Fragrances (F&F) is a plus.- Familiarity with export markets, product classes, and basic chemistry concepts.- Strong communication skills (oral and written English).- Self-starter with excellent people skills and a proactive approach to problem- solving (ref:updazz.com)
