CNC Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities:

1. CNC Machine Setup and Operation

• Set up CNC machines (milling, lathe, or other) by installing and adjusting tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications.
• Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, cutting, milling, and turning, ensuring precision in parts.
• Load and unload materials from machines and inspect parts for quality.

2. Blueprint and Technical Drawing Interpretation

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand part dimensions, tolerances, and machine setups.
• Ensure proper machine setup to meet the exact requirements outlined in the technical documentation.

3. Quality Control and Inspection

• Monitor the CNC machine during operation to ensure correct operation and quality output.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to correct any discrepancies or defects.

4. Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and checking for wear and tear.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues and report major issues to maintenance technicians.

5. Efficiency and Safety

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and follow procedures to minimize machine downtime.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and productivity targets while maintaining high-quality standards.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Record production data, such as machine settings, output quantities, and time logs, for reporting and tracking purposes.
• Document any changes made to machine settings and maintain an accurate log of maintenance activities.
