Required Electrical Engineer - Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical System Design and Development

• Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or residential projects as per project specifications.
• Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, and layouts using software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or EPLAN.
• Select appropriate materials, switchgear, cables, and protection devices based on load calculations and industry standards.

2. Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise the installation of electrical systems and ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
• Perform pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and final commissioning of equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, and lighting systems.
• Ensure smooth handover of electrical systems to operations or end-users.

3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose faults in systems and equipment and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Ensure minimal downtime of systems through timely maintenance and efficient troubleshooting.

4. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS standards), and industry best practices.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure electrical installations meet safety standards.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements for electrical work.

5. Project Coordination and Documentation

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement related to electrical works.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, consultants, and clients to ensure timely completion of electrical projects.
• Maintain detailed documentation of designs, test results, work progress, and maintenance logs.

6. Technical Support and Improvement

• Provide technical support to operations and other engineering teams regarding power distribution, lighting, motor control, and automation systems.
• Suggest and implement energy-efficient and cost-saving electrical solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest electrical technologies, tools, and trends.
