Required Accountant Admin - Mumbai

Job Summary:

The Accountant Admin is a dual-role position responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions while also overseeing general administrative duties to ensure smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles along with the ability to handle office coordination, documentation, and support functions. This role is essential in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the overall efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, journal entries, invoices, and receipts.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and collections.
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients and follow up for payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure records match financial transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain petty cash and perform regular cash flow analysis.
• Support external audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

2. Taxation and Compliance

• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes in compliance with government regulations.
• Maintain accurate records for tax returns and coordinate with consultants or chartered accountants when necessary.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory documents and compliance reports.

3. Payroll Support

• Collect and verify attendance data for payroll processing.
• Coordinate with HR or payroll service providers to ensure accurate salary disbursement.
• Handle reimbursements and employee-related financial claims.

4. Administrative Duties

• Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, and document control.
• Manage office supplies, place orders, and monitor usage to avoid shortages.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and utility companies for maintenance and purchases.
• Organize and maintain office documents, contracts, and records both digitally and physically.
• Support scheduling of meetings, appointments, and internal events.

5. Communication & Coordination

• Act as a point of contact between finance, admin, and other departments to ensure smooth internal communication.
• Liaise with banks, vendors, and statutory bodies as needed.
• Assist in onboarding new employees by providing administrative support and necessary documentation.
