Key Responsibilities

1. Network Configuration and Maintenance:
   • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, and modems) and software (e.g., network monitoring tools).
   • Design and implement network configurations to support the business needs.
   • Ensure the network operates smoothly, with proper connectivity for all employees or users.
   • Perform routine checks on network performance and upgrade or optimize the infrastructure as needed.
2. Network Security Management:
   • Implement and maintain network security policies to protect the organization s data from unauthorized access, breaches, or threats.
   • Set up and monitor firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), anti-virus programs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
   • Regularly update security systems and software, applying patches and updates to fix vulnerabilities.
   • Conduct regular security audits and monitor network activity for any suspicious behavior or security threats.
3. Troubleshooting and Support:
   • Provide technical support to users experiencing network connectivity issues, including hardware and software-related problems.
   • Troubleshoot network issues such as slow connections, server downtimes, or application errors, and resolve them efficiently.
   • Coordinate with other departments to identify network-related challenges and work on solutions.
   • Assist with the setup and configuration of network devices and user accounts.
4. Monitoring Network Performance:
   • Monitor network performance and conduct regular tests to ensure efficient and optimal operation.
   • Track bandwidth usage, traffic, and other key metrics to identify areas for improvement or necessary upgrades.
   • Use network monitoring tools to detect any faults or performance degradation and take proactive measures to resolve them.
5. Backup and Disaster Recovery:
   • Ensure that network configurations, settings, and important data are regularly backed up.
