Job Description
  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose various ophthalmic conditions.
  • Assist in and independently conduct surgical procedures like cataract and glaucoma surgeries.
  • Supervise and train junior residents and interns in clinical and surgical practices.
  • Manage outpatient, inpatient, and emergency ophthalmic cases.
  • Participate in academic activities, including teaching and conducting seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Engage in clinical research and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient records and maintain departmental protocols.
  • Provide compassionate patient care, including counseling and postoperative follow-ups.
  • Diagnose and treat various ophthalmic conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, and infections.
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and interpret diagnostic tests (OCT, fundus photography, visual field tests).
  • Perform and assist in minor surgical procedures like chalazion excision, pterygium excision, and laser treatments.
  • Manage emergency ophthalmic cases in the hospital, including trauma and sudden vision loss.
  • Manage OPD (Outpatient Department) consultations for routine and follow-up cases.
  • Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
