Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves performing day-to-day accounting tasks, reconciling accounts, and supporting the finance team in budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in accounting software, with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• General Accounting:
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and perform regular account reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate reports on financial performance, variances, and other key metrics.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Compliance & Auditing:
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for audit purposes.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices.
• Additional Duties:
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and other departments regarding financial transactions.
  • Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
