Job Title: Design Engineer - Expansion Bellows
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and development of expansion bellows for various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Development: Create detailed designs, models, and prototypes of expansion bellows using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).
2. Product Optimization: Analyze and optimize bellow designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
3. Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide design solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
5. Industry Standards and Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, PED).
6. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve design-related issues, and implement corrective actions.
7. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of designs, calculations, and test results.
8. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve design processes and products.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor 's or Master 's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the expansion bellow industry or a related field (e.g., piping, mechanical systems).
- Proven track record of successful design projects and product launches.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor) and design tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, PED).
