Position Summary:
Bentley Systems seeks an Application Engineer to work in a customer:facing role alongside a team of sales and technical colleagues, they will provide the technical expertise required to win new business and increase usage in existing user organizations. The AE is a trusted advisor and will be responsible for assessing prospect 's business and technical requirements and developing solutions that meet those needs.
By developing a unique relationship and understanding of both the Bentley products and solutions as well as the user needs, the Application Engineer plays a key role in our ability to use that knowledge in Account Advancement, User Advancement, and Product Advancement.

Maintain expert level of product knowledge

Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users

Perform value and benefit oriented technical presentations of Bentley products and solutions.

Create effective presentations and demonstrations that illustrate the capabilities, workflows, and value of Bentley applications to users
:
Work with the wider sales team to identify and analyze business issues and opportunities
:
Assist Business Development and Sales personnel in technical proposal development for prospects and existing customers
:
Provide your experience and knowledge of user requirements to help product management to design and develop new products and services
:
Engage directly with users to conduct discovery sessions and define requirements.
:
Serve as the technical liaison between Account Advancement and User Success teams.
:
Deliver presentations and provide support for corporate sales and marketing events.
:
Contribute to written proposal development and submission
:
Prepare and recommend scope of services for User Success to implement.
:
Provide timely feedback on user interactions to improve sales and marketing efforts.
:
Prepare and deliver relevant feedback to Product Teams to improve our products (from product issues to user needs).
:
Work with Product teams to stay up to date with current releases of Bentley applications.
:
Contribute to the Bentley Communities by posting application tips and/or answering user questions.
:
Understand industry design standards as well as methodologies and make recommendations for conformant product configurations.
:
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

Travel within India up to 50 of the time on average
:

What You Bring to The Team:

5 years of experience in managing ProjectWise, BCDE, iTwins or similar systems like Autodesk Construction Cloud is required
:
Presentation skills and public speaking experience is desirable
:
Previous significant experience in a pre:sales capacity with constant engagement with users and potential users
:
Comprehensive understanding of electronic document management with strong emphasis on engineering design
:
Familiarity with relational databases, including administration, operation and maintenance with Microsoft SQL Server
:
Excellent writing skills are a must, as s/he will be responsible for writing white papers and communicating product details and applications to the public
:
Ability to communicate value and benefit propositions to audiences of all levels of knowledge and seniority
:
Ability to successfully lead purpose:created teams and achieve their objective (RFP, proposal presentation, etc.).
:
BIM digital workflow experience in both vertical (Buildings) and Horizontal Infrastructure Projects
:
Working knowledge of Digital Construction Management Software such as Synchro or equivalent is a plus
