Audio Video Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diploma Engineer for site to join our team specializing in Audio-Visual (AV) solutions. As a core part of our team, you will work on the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a range of AV equipment. This includes systems like projectors, audio processors, amplifiers, microphones, lighting control, and video conferencing setups. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AV technology, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. AV Equipment Installation:
Set up, configure, and calibrate AV systems, including sound systems, displays, microphones, control systems, and video conferencing devices.
Handle the integration of AV systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance.
2. System Maintenance:
Regularly inspect and test AV equipment to ensure functionality, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Upgrade firmware and software for AV devices to keep systems up-to-date with the latest features and security patches.
3. Customer Support:
Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, ensuring all equipment is functioning effectively during events and meetings.
Train clients or end-users on operating AV equipment efficiently and resolving basic operational issues.
4. Project Execution:
Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to execute AV installation projects according to client specifications and timelines.
Participate in site surveys to assess project requirements and suggest optimal AV solutions.
5. Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.
Prepare reports on system performance and client feedback for continual improvement.
6. Quality Assurance:
Test and certify AV systems post-installation to ensure they meet performance standards and client expectations.
Identify potential issues proactively and address them to minimize downtime or client dissatisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Stay updated with emerging AV technologies and trends to suggest improvements and innovations in client offerings.
2. Work collaboratively with the sales and design teams to provide technical insights during the proposal stage.
3. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during installations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
1. Diploma in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
2. Knowledge of networking and IT systems, as they relate to AV integration, is a plus.
3. Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
