About company: The Company is engaged in manufacturing of sponge iron, ingots/billets and Ferro alloys. The installed capacity of the units are 1, 20,000 MT per annum.
POST: CPP SR. MANAGER (MECH)
Senior Manager Mechanical in a CPP (Chemical Processing Plant) is responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering aspects of the plant, including leading a team of engineers, managing project budgets, ensuring equipment maintenance, optimizing processes, and collaborating with other departments to maintain safety and operational efficiency, while adhering to industry regulations and standards.
Key responsibilities may include:
Team Leadership:
Managing a team of mechanical engineers, assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, and evaluating performance. Mentoring and developing junior engineers
Project Management:
Overseeing mechanical design and engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Reviewing project proposals, technical specifications, and drawings
Monitoring project progress against timelines and budgets
Technical Expertise:
Analyzing equipment performance and identifying areas for improvement
Designing and implementing modifications to existing machinery
Selecting appropriate equipment for new projects
Troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
Maintenance and Reliability:
Establishing and implementing preventative maintenance programs for critical equipment
Managing equipment breakdowns and repairs
Analyzing root causes of equipment failures and implementing corrective actions
Cost Management:
Preparing and managing project budgets
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-reduction strategies
Compliance and Safety:
Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations and industry standards
Conducting safety reviews and incident investigations
Promoting a culture of safety within the team
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborating with other departments (operations, production, quality control) to ensure smooth plant operations
Communicating project updates and technical information to stakeholders
Addressing concerns and resolving issues raised by stakeholders
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design practices Expertise in industrial machinery, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, and process equipment
Experience with project management methodologies
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
Proficiency in engineering software (CAD, FEA)

Location for the all the said technical posts is Purulia, Madhukunda
