Category Manager - Sell Side - FMCG/Staples (4-8 Yrs) Bangalore (B2C/Retail/Channel Sales)

Role & Responsibilities- Understand customer needs and decision making criteria with respect to your category- Understand market trends and factors shaping customer demand- Understand competing options available to the customers across offline and online channels- Own the sales and margin targets for your category- Create and own category strategy.- Create and execute monthly, quarterly annual sales plans by planning sales at single SKU level- Translate into detailed and actionable plans with clearly defined owners and checkpoints- Own pricing and price competency for all products in your category- Own creation and execution of targeted promotions & campaigns Track campaign performance daily and work with merchandising and marketing teams to improve ROI.- Own the on-app experience - look and feel of the app; esp around your category pages- Analyze on-app behavior of customers (search, traffic, conversion funnel etc) and improve all key metrics- Improve discoverability of the right productsIdeal Candidate :First Principles Problem solverSelf driven : Ability to work independently with limited support in a fast-paced, high growth environmentCommitted and High Intent : Hunger to work, deliver, and grow in a rapidly growing organizationExperimentative mindset : Ideate, try, measure, learn, document and help improve our ways of working- Has work ex in Staples businessGood collaboration skills - great at communication and negotiation - Ability to influence a variety stakeholders without relying on positional authorityWillingness to getting your hands dirty : Learn from customers, manufacturers and on ground teams about their business and challenges- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel- Interest and understanding of Retail in India within Grocery stores in staples industry (ref:updazz.com)
