-The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and developing a next-generation, cloud-based unified communications platform.
-The Senior Software Engineer is expected to have a strong background in VOIP technologies, protocols and open-source platforms.
-Additionally, this role is expected to have full-stack development experience with strong knowledge of developing applications end-to-end including application development, micro-services, databases, cloud-based technologies, APIs and more. Essential Job Functions : - Design and develop a wide-range of applications and services for a unified communications platform.
-Ability to choose the appropriate technology based on the need.
-Develop software using best practices including aspects of test, deployment and operations.
-Apply innovative thinking to all functions of development.
-Ability to complete individual tasks end-to-end independently but working with a larger team to accomplish bigger objectives. Specific Requirements, Skills Education : - 3 years of experience in Software Development - Java, C/C , Python, VoIP (SIP/RTP), SQL - Open-source technologies such as Freeswitch, Asterisk, OpenSIPs and/or Kamaillio - Database technologies such as MySQL, Postgres and/or MongoDB - Cloud-based technologies such as AWS - Strong troubleshooting skills - Experience with DevOps practices - Strong interpersonal skills - Experience with Agile Development methodologies - Highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills Additional Skills (would like to have but not required): - Demonstrates a sense of urgency in all tasks - Experience at a start-up organization, or as an entrepreneur - Familiarity with PBX features - Mobile development (iOS / Android) - Web development (HTML5/Javascript) - AWS certification(s)
