Zenoss Specialist - Linux/Windows OS (6-12 Yrs) Hyderabad (Systems/Product Software)

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring that companys global infrastructure including application, network, server, virtual guest, storage, and database technologies are all being monitored across multiple 24x7x365 hosted Data Centers. Thecompany uses Zenoss as the platform to monitor infrastructure and applications. Candidate will be working with latest technologies like docker, nginx, rabbitmq, zope, maria-db to name few. Candidate will be responsible for making sure Zenoss infrastructure is running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and documentation skills, ability to deliver results under time sensitive deadlines, great collaboration skills and a solid understanding of multiple technologies. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES : - Plan, implement and maintain monitoring solutions built with open source systems and proprietary technologies.
-Document Monitoring system configuration as well as ongoing changes within the environment.
-Evaluate monitoring application performance and security on going daily basis.
-Work with product teams to help them define appropriate monitoring solutions and thresholds.
-Candidate should have experience with help driving consolidation of tools. Reduce the foot print of multiple tools that our business has.
-Candidate should be well versed in ITIL process. Have hands on experience with implementation of ITIL tools and integration with other tools like for example monitoring (Zenoss).
-Interface with Network teams to ensure network visibility and monitoring system availability.
-Perform ad-hoc systems performance inspection and reporting during critical incident support events.
-Perform ad-hoc security event inspection and reporting.
-Interface with external customers, vendors and partners as needed.
-Document operational processes and developed testing methods.
-Identify potential performance and process improvements.
-Manage various operational requests and troubleshooting issues - Additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS OTHER PRE-REQUISITES: - Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience.
-Minimum of 5 years experience in a Linux Systems Engineering or Windows System Engineering preferably with a focus on monitoring.
-Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience analyzing, supporting, and creating monitoring rules/methods with tools such as Zenoss, Appd, Dynatrace/Gomez. Working with large number upwards of 15000 of devices such as Linux/Windows/Cisco/BigIP/SNMP.
-Demonstrated strong knowledge of managing Linux, docker, Nginx, Zope, and Maria-db.
-Demonstrated knowledge of advance scripting languages including bash, Python, Powershell, VBS.
-RHCSA/RHCE/MCSA/MSCE/AWS/AZURE or similar certifications preferred - Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
