Senior Database Engineer - SQL Server (3-8 Yrs) Gurgaon/Gurugram/Hyderabad (Systems/Product Software)

Job Description: Job Overview : - Senior Database Engineer will be involved in the project and delivery, work on client data starting from collection phase to validation to final integration of data with our system.
-Work on design and development of database products that are aligned with market, business and technology roadmap and strategy. Develop, document, communicate and track the schedules, plans, and risks for database products and components.
-Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, deadlocks, performance tuning query optimization. Execute as per the business plan. Job Responsibilities : - Work for a sustained duration (2- 3 months) on large scale business problem involving software product in the area of cost, operations and supply chain.
-Design, write, test, and debug database stored procedures and complex queries to extract, calculate or manipulate information using SQL-Server 2008, 2012 2014 database.
-Adhere to the time-lines set for delivery items, for different Product release and Customer releases.
-Provide technical support for the production issues resulting from new deployments, analyzing business reported issues, determining the root causes, and implementing fixes to prevent future outages.
-Write high level and low level design documents; Conduct reviews with application development and product management teams.
-Mentor and train database team members to perform assigned tasks efficiently without quality issues, perform code review and be accountable for the productivity, quality, timeliness of self and team members.
-Be a part of cross-functional delivery team and Identify risk areas, issues which can delay deliverable and communicate or escalate ahead of time.
-Communicate plans, milestones and their status on a weekly basis with managers and other stakeholders.
-Ability to organize and plan work independently.

-Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
-Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
-Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
-Communicate with cross functional teams to understand customer, sales focus and align deliverables. Experience and Skills : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline required. Masters degree preferred.
-Strong experience in SQL development and database administration.
-Thorough Knowledge of database design, administration and architecture in a Microsoft SQL Server environment, database concepts and performance tuning.
-Must have experience in Query design, optimization, Stored Procedures, Data modeling.
-Must have experience of using industry monitoring tools for the purpose of analyzing queries and stored process.
-Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
-Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
-Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
-Designing and Implementing a Data Warehouse.
-Experience in SQL Server 2012, 2014 database (2016 is an added advantage).
-Must have very good debugging and analytical skills.
-Good understanding of data warehousing concepts (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) is an added advantage.
-Critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem dissection skills.
