Here- s just some of what youll be doing : As part of Big data platform engineering team, you will work on E2E setup of big data tools from procurement to delivery.
-Big data clusters setup and maintenance.
-MySQL cluster setup and maintenance.
-Co-ordinating with vendors and applying patches with limited customer impact.
-Adhering to AmEx standards during the software evaluation At least 2 years of strong hands on professional experience on Linux Big data cluster administration.
-Good knowledge of data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques - Expertise in hardware systems architecture, storage solutions, and disaster recovery - Experience on OS and application patching.
-Experience with monitoring tools such as Ganglia, Icinga, Splunk etc - Python/Perl or other scripting language knowledge - Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
-Linux Master Skills - Experience and knowledge in API and REST based Web services development is a plus - Ability to work with team members in multiple geographic locations and time zones.
-High levels of energy, engagement, and ownership. Positive attitude is an absolute must.
