Job Description : - The QA engineer will work in a team environment in the design and execution of test plans and test cases for the web and mobile products. We are looking for a self-starter who is excited to learn and improve his or her skill set in the ever-evolving medium of the web and mobile.
-The ideal candidate will be a thinker who understands why writing optimized and well-organized test plans/test cases is important for an application to play out well with the highest software quality within schedule.
-A tester par excellence who displays an undying passion for achieving the perfection in his/her work and is not afraid to question the existing product requirements/design to make it even better. Responsibilities : Technical : 1. Understand the domain and the product in detail and develop the test strategy/planning. 2. Translate requirements into test cases and test plans for testing product features. 3. Ensure the best-in-class quality for features across a broad array of interactive web and mobile products 4. Interact with product management, business analysts and development teams to develop an understanding of the product and testing objectives. 5. Test across multiple browsers and platforms. 6. Define and deliver the QA automation landscape for our products. 7. Serve as a thought leader on the product feature related issues and the QA landscape. Other Responsibilities : 1. Work on continuous improvement of the products through innovation and learning. Someone with a knack for bench marking and optimization. 2. Work as a team player and make our work culture even more awesome Candidate Profile : Experience 1. Minimum 4 - 5 years of QA experience with a focus on web and mobile testing. 2. Prior experience working on high visibility, high traffic web and mobile applications will be an advantage. 3. Prior experience of working in a product company would be an advantage Education : 1. BE/B. Tech from IITs / Top NITs / Tier-One schools or any graduate with a PG in IT/CS 2. Engineering Degree preferable but not a constraint for the right candidate as long as experience and other qualification requirements are met. Skills : 1. Excellent skills in writing, reviewing and executing test plans and test cases to ensure that the acceptance criteria are tested to meet the highest software quality within schedule. 2. Expert knowledge of bug ticketing systems and project management. 3. Excellent knowledge of developing the test cases and ability to drive the test case sign-off processes with the stakeholders 4. Strong computer science fundamentals, including concepts like OOP. 5. Sound knowledge of SDLC processes, including Agile. Certifications on QA standards will be a plus. 6. Knowledge of automation testing frameworks (selenium, robot, etc.) desired. 7. Knowledge of mobile automation testing, including frameworks like Appium, will be an advantage. 8. Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 9. Soft Skills: Strong communication and inter-personal skills. Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment.
