Job Description JD - VFS Global Senior Developer (Full Stack) Organization VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd. Designation Senior Developer Role Developer/Senior Developer (SiteCore) Function/Department Product Innovation Business Transformation Level Manager (Sr. Manager) Purpose of the role : 5 to 15 years hands on experience, self-motivated individuals who will work as part of an agile development team in DevOps environment developing CMS in SiteCore for all SiteCore powered Websites and web applications. Profile - Roles and Responsibilities : Areas of Responsibility brief description : 1. Works as part of a lean agile development team to deliver business solutions 2. Develops web and mobile applications, supports applications under development 3. Interacts with Architects and Business Analysts to gather and analyze requirements 4. Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements 5. Develops high quality code that follows industry standard best practices and considers performance and resiliency 6. Participates in writing and executing unit, integration, and system test procedures 7. Collaborates with operations staff as part of DevOps team 8. Displays in-depth knowledge of, and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills 9. Judicious use of natural resources 10. Shall adhere to the environment health and safety policy/objectives and guidelines of the organization. Contributor Indicative KRA- s/Budgetary and Revenue Responsibilities : 1. Development of SiteCore CMS for all SiteCore powered websites and web applications. 2. Work closely with tech partner and contribute/review code, testing, documentation, etc. 3. Do new products/features PoCs. 4. Work closely with internal product development team. Key Interactions within and outside of VFS Global External : 1. Tech Partner Internal : 1. Project ENIGMA team 2. Various operations team across the globe Qualification Experience (Education, Experience, specific knowledge, skills, understanding, attitude) : Education: Bachelor- s/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field with 5-15 years of overall experience. Experience : 1. Should have hands-on experience in technologies and concepts like, MVC, OOP, Design Patterns, Programming framework (.NET), API development using SOAP or RESTful Web Services, Web Application Framework (ASP.NET), client-side scripting Java Script libraries, JSON and XML Data formats, and Database technologies etc. 2. Should have hand- on experience in complete SDLC in at least 2 projects. 3. Experience in system design, implementation, scalability and interoperability of enterprise systems and web infrastructure.2-4 years of experience in DevOps Architect/Engineer role 4. Good knowledge and implementation experience of Web Service APIs for integration purposes 5. Familiarity with mobile devices and associated technologies. Knowledge Key Skills : 1. Key technical skills includes (but not limited to) HTML, CSS, SITECORE, JavaScript, C#, .NET Framework, HTTP and REST, MVC, Basic Algorithms, RDBMS, NoSQL etc. 2. Ability to work on on both the front-end and back-end portions of an application. Front-end shall generally refer to the portion of an application the user will see or interact with, and the back-end is the part of the application that handles the logic, database interactions, user authentication, server configuration, etc. 3. Ability to understand requirement, code, implement, test and maintain software in a systematic method. Ability to write correct algorithms, apply right design principles patterns, use best practices as set for the team and follow engineering discipline of agile and DevOps way of software development. 4. Ability to understand the business requirements and implementing them into solution. 5. Should have learning ability and attitude to deep dive into technologies to understand their usability. 6. Ability to assess the suitability of information systems in terms of their intended outcomes, use analysis and design techniques to solve business problems, identify the solution improvements needed, write code to implement those changes, evaluate and validate code, modify if needed, test the application features. 7.
