Role Summary : - At Sun Life were hiring highly technical AWS cloud computing architects to develop and manage solutions for Infrastructure and applications, while also collaborating with our partners and customers on key engagements.
-The technical architects should be able to provide engineering solution for infrastructure, application and should provide the proficiency to adopt cloud technologies, migration of services, proof-of-concept projects, workshops, and lead implementation projects.
-The person will work with a team of highly skilled cloud analysts and should be able to provide oversight for AWS cloud adoption plans, cloud management and monitoring practices for AWS delivery, services, and support. Core Responsibility : - Design of technology infrastructure like network, compute, storage, deployment and virtualization - Integration of cloud services with on premise technologies and applications - Provide oversight for IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.) - Plan automation through scripting and/or coding - Participate and drive discussions with senior technical personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation - Point of contact for all AWS infrastructure related product and services for development and business teams Minimum Qualification : - Engineering or equivalent degree - 10 or more years of IT implementation experience with 2-3 years as AWS architects - Certified in industry recognized certifications such as AWS Cloud Architect Mandate Skills : - Deep understanding of AWS Core services (VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, CloudFront, Load balancer, CloudFormation etc.) - Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments - Leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments - Large scale migration experience Data Center to Data Center and/or Data Center to Cloud - Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Java, JSON, Ruby, PowerShell) - Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet - Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment - Experience managing data center operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications - Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges Mandate Skills : - Collaborates effectively - Communicates Confidently - Focuses on the Customer - Takes Accountability - Self-starter - Trustworthy and Flexible
