Function Description : - Cornerstone Database is the Enterprise Data platform designed to facilitate production applications, advance analytics and democratization of enterprise level data to users through self-services tools and utilities. Central Data management team defines standards, reviews artifacts and certifies data feed setup ensuring Data Ingestion(DI) and Organaized Data Layer(ODL) teams adheres to platform standards and governance needs for meta data, data partitioning, data schema, data lineage, data quality and provides comphrehensive data support functions to ensure usability of data for driving innovation and growth across the platform. Purpose of the Role : - This role will play a key role under Cornerstone central team and will be responsible to define and create process and data management statergy enabling automated review and governence of all data ingestions to Cornerstone eco-systems.
-He/She will be responsible for defining standards and drive automation for systamatic review in area such as meta data quality measurement, data lineage, partitioning statergy and end-to-end data management.
-He/She incumbent will be required to build strong relationships with business data owner groups, DI teams and CS capability team in order to meet their goals, with the expectation to contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and to maintain quality in their own work and the process as a whole Responsibilities : - Take ownership for the data management process and ensure the database standards are set in the Cornerstone Database when data is getting ingested - Develop analytical tools to support review process - Collaborating with CS Capabilities teams and Business team to implement effective strategies.
-Identifying opportunities to enhance process efficiency through increased standardization and automation, in order to reduce manual effort.
-Performing ad-hoc analysis of data, Process automation, performance uplift etc.
-Support strategic projects to implement efficiencies and drive economies of scale - Provide visibility into process gaps, issues, risks Critical Factors to Success : - Build innovative process, standareds liveraraing the best practices in the industry to business problems in the area of - Demonstrate high degree of independence, able to propose innovative ideas and solutions to complex problems. Qualifications : Past Experience : - Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a tremendous will to win.
-At minimum 5 Yes of Systems / data management experience.
-Exposure to Programming Knowledge (e.g. Hive, SQL, Unix, SaS etc.) And Willingness to learn New Tools Programming Languages.
-Excellent Communication, Collaboration, and Change Management skills.
-Good Understanding of payments industry data management will be a plus.
-Experience of Amex data, processes system will be perfered Academic Background : Degree required in Math, Statistics, Economics or similar quantitative field of study Functional Skills/Capabilities : - Be able to work in a fast-paced team to identify opportunity and lead your own initiatives - Be exceptionally organized with the ability to manage and priorities a number of tasks simultaneously - Proven experience of working in a heavily regulated environment, self-identifying relevant changes in platform and acting accordingly to ensure minimal business impact - Have the curiosity to Good communication, both written and verbal, facilitation and presentation writing skills Technical Skills/Capabilities : - Strong knowledge of Big data enterprise architecture integration with good exposure of data mining/analytical tools - Good Exposure to Machine learning Alogorithm, Hadoop, Spark, Python Hive - Ability to incorporate Machine Learning /AI frameworks for driving system automation Knowledge of Platforms : - Hadoop, HDFS, HIVE, Spark, SQL - Big Data - eco-syste...
