API Support Specialist (alternate title API Support Developer/Engineer) About the role : - We are seeking a technically proficient client support professional who can leverage their API knowledge and technical ability towards solving client problems.
-As a key member of our support team, youll be the primary point of contact for partners and clients building integrations with POS, Giftcard, and Online Ordering software who are having issues with their integrations or API connections. Youll work with clients and partners (via phone, chat, and email) to troubleshoot complex integrations, create an amazing support experience, and quickly adapt and grow with our business.
-Prior API support experience is paramount for this role. Were looking for someone who already knows that solving problems and working with people is their passion. Keep reading to learn more What Youll Do : - Be the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for our clients who are building integrations with our numerous APIs.
-Deliver an incredible escalated support experience that minimizes time to resolution and builds trust and enhances our relationship with our clients.
-Provide support, and best practices advice for users of our REST APIs, coaching developers at partner locations to get the most value out of their implementations.
-Work with clients on technical issues, getting in the weeds to document, diagnose and resolve issues related to their API and related integrations.
-Utilize discretion to determine the severity of a problem, frequency, and risk associated with suggested courses of action - escalating cases and tickets as needed.
-Interface with Product Owners and Product Specialists, converting case notes and ticket volume into actionable technical feedback to improve our product roadmap.
-Participate in product improvement processes involving Product, Technical Support and Engineering. What Youll Need : - Associates Degree in a Technical field or equivalent experience - 1 year experience with REST or RESTful APIs - Exposure to SQL; SQL query writing experience preferred - 2 years of customer support experience - Familiar with Windows operating systems, peripheral network devices, and iOS/Android mobile devices - A drive to learn: we constantly iterate (in our product and our processes), youll need to keep your knowledge current - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written, oral communication skills, and excellent email etiquette - Patience: Some partners and vendors are more tech-savvy than others, but everyone should be given a great experience - Authorization to work in the U.S.
