Senior/Principal Engineer - Python/Django/Flask (5-8 Yrs) Mumbai (Systems/Product Software)

Job Description : Were looking for a Principal engineer to join our Operations Engineering Team. The Operations Engineering Team forms the backbone of our core business. We build and iterate over our core platform that handles orders, payments, delivery promises, order tracking, logistics integrations to name a few. Our products are actively used by Fynd users, Operations, Delights and Finance teams. Our team consists of generalist engineers who work on building REST APIs, Internal tools and Infrastructure for all these users. In our view, Principal Engineers are 10xers who raise the bar for all our products and the team. Due to their deep experience with multiple tech stacks, they design extensible architectures and build products taking the right trade-offs for delivery and quality. They are also force multipliers who build workflows to accelerate the productivity of their teams. A sample of problems our existing principal engineers have solved in the past - - Built a highly available data platform over Kafka that allowed us to break up our monolith into loosely coupled microservices - Automated our DNS configuration and migrated to a new domain with zero downtime - Revamped our native iOS/Android/Web clients making them more modular while also driving scalability improvements in critical consumer facing micro-services - Migrated our Catalog Ingestion pipeline hosted on EC2 to Docker on ECS while also building a terraform module that allowed 4 other microservices to migrate to ECS in under a week Responsibilities : - Build scalable and loosely coupled services to extend our platform - Build bulletproof API integrations with third party APIs for various use cases - Evolve our Infrastructure and add a few more nines to our overall availability - Have full autonomy and own your code, and decide on the technologies and tools to deliver as well operate large-scale applications on AWS - Give back to the open source community through contributions on code and blog posts - This is a startup so everything can change as we experiment with more product improvements Requirement : Relevant experience required : 5-8 years - You have prior experience developing and working on consumer facing web/app products - Hands-on experience on Python. Exceptions can be made if youre really good on any other language with experience on building web/app based tech products - Experience in one of the following frameworks - Django, Flask, Falcon, web2py, Twisted, Tornado - Thorough knowledge of data stores MySQL, MongoDB, Redis - Youve worked with core AWS services in the past and have experience with EC2, ELB, AutoScaling, CloudFront, S3 - You can dabble in Frontend codebases using HTML, CSS and Javascript - You have prior Infrastructure automation experience with tools like Ansible, Packer, Terraform or Docker - Good understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms and Operating Systems - You love doing things efficiently.
