Data Engineer - Python/Big Data - Fintech (3-6 Yrs) Chennai (Systems/Product Software)

Nagar About Company: Series-B funded, Chennai headquartered Fintech start-up, founded by a team of entrepreneurs with extensive experience in world-class financial services organizations. over 3 Mn users, work with 40 lenders and have seen strong traction. Their product set caters to 2 stakeholders - consumers on one side and lenders on the other. Experience : 3-5 years of programming, shell scripting (UNIX) and relational (SQL) and NoSQL DB experience (structured and unstructured data) a) Hands-on experience with one or more relational databases (for example, mySQL, PostGre) 2. Hands-on in Python development and proven experience in relational database concepts and technologies 3. Proven Experience in Regular Expressions 4. Solid knowledge in procedural languages 5. Hands-on experience in Implementing operational efficiencies, creating new procedures and workflows, working on complex queries 6. Data retrieval and processing database change requests including the creation of databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers 7. Exposure to big data processing and streaming frameworks like MapReduce, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka and/or similar frameworks would be preferred 8. Exposure to data recovery, backup mechanism especially with larger volume of data 9. Professional degree in Bio Informatics preferable. Engineering degree in IT would be next preferred option. 10. Understanding requirements functional specifications 11. Ability to think laterally and contribute to problem solving 12. Prior experience handling small to mid sized team would be better
