Position Summary : - Provides first level support for all Universal users, including voice, network, financial and business application applications.
-Responsible for the management of PCs, including the design, ordering, building and implementation of those systems as well as support on Universal approved and issued wireless devices.
-Responsible for the Universal problem resolution ticketing system. Technical Assistance Center (TAC) is available 24/7 (emergency on-call weekends) and is the main contact point for the Universal user community, both domestically and internationally. Job responsibility : - Receives telephone calls and e-mails from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific software, programming languages, electronic mail, or operating systems.
-Ascertains from computer user the nature of problem, determines whether problem is caused by hardware, such as modem, printer, cables, or telephone, formulates diagnosis, and assists users through problem solving steps.
-Talks with co-workers to research problem and find solution.
-Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
-Writes software and hardware evaluation and recommendation for management review. Systems Applications / Software Utilized : Ticket is tracked in Service desk plus tool. I tel centric ticket reporting tool
