Hiring on Product Design Engineering Jobs Work closely with CAD Design Engineers and Product Specialists to understand project requirements, objectives, and design concepts. Collaborate on the mechanical design of various product components using PLM Tool. Create detailed mechanical designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This may include 3D modelling, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) generation. Participate in the development of prototypes to test and validate design concepts. This may involve hands-on work in a lab or workshop. Choose appropriate materials for each component based on factors such as strength, durability, cost, and environmental considerations. Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet performance and safety criteria. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure that designed components can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all designs, including drawings, specifications, and design change records. Address and resolve design-related issues or challenges, and provide technical support to cross-functional teams.
