About the department
You will be joining the Global Finance GBS Bangalore team, which was established in 2007. Our team is responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance and Procurement, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP and A) for Headquarters, North America, International Operations (IO), Product Supply and GBS Bangalore. Our main purpose is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.
The position
As a Finance Controller (R and D Project Cost Controller) at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible for:

Identifying value creation opportunities based on business understanding and also collaborating and driving the FPA and GBS Finance initiatives along with the team.

Running relevant cost reports in SAP, extracting data to Excel, and updating cost controlling reports on a monthly/weekly basis along with collaborating with various stakeholders to drive the month:end closing process, including accruals and repostings.

Conducting regular audits to verify the accuracy of expenses and invoices and also solve incorrect postings with other finance departments, especially on non:DK projects.
:
Collaborating with other R and D Investments portfolio managers, R and D Investment Director and senior management.
:
Validating and analyzing actual data and timely alarming PM when mitigations are needed and also reviewing open PO values and ETC values PM phasing and recommending actions.

Supporting project managers with budget management, WBS setup, and cost:controlling relevant presentations and also collaborating with other R and D Investments portfolio managers, R and ED Finance in GBS, and DK.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Master 's in Finance (or equivalent) from a well:recognized institute with good academic track record and grades.

Minimum 10:14 years of relevant work experience in finance domain including 3 years in business partnering role (managing Cost controlling / Project Cost Controlling : cost base of 50 : 70 M USD / 500 FTE 's)

Ability to collaborate and communicate with Project managers and management.
:
Experience in business controlling and other finance disciplines
:
Solid understanding within the field of accounting and finance
:
Proficient with PC:tools, extensive knowledge of MS Office and SAP.

Good communication and presentation skills
:
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into meaningful insights
